Turlock Transfer Nutrilock

What is NUTRILOCK? NUTRILOCK is a complete specialty co-compost product that consists of biosolids, a byproduct of the wastewater treatment process, and greenwaste from community landscaping.

NUTRILOCK is composed of 3 parts greenwaste and 1 part biosolids. Once combined, the NUTRILOCK mixture is windrow composted to a temperature of 130 degrees for a minimum of 15 days. During this time the windrow is turned a minimum of 5 times. This composting process combined with previous wastewater treatment processes ensure that Turlock’s finished NUTRILOCK product meets United States Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA) requirements to be classified as an exceptional quality Biosolids product qualifying it for unrestricted use.

NUTRILOCK is not only safe for the user and the environment but an excellent addition to the soil. In addition to providing readily available and long-lasting nitrogen for plant growth it also provides trace elements needed for healthy plants and organic material for a healthier soil makeup.

Using NUTRILOCK will not only create healthier and lusher plants, flowers and lawns, but will also add to their longevity. NUTRILOCK is available free of charge at the Turlock Transfer station. Read more...
